Village Administrator. The Village of Albany, Ohio is seeking applications for the position of Village Administrator. This salaried position functions as a working supervisor/administrator. The person appointed will report to the Mayor and serves at the pleasure of Village Council. They will provide general administrative direction; supervise personnel; advise employees on proper procedures; and direct the operation for and participate in all utility, street, park, and zoning activities. Successful candidate should have experience in the operation of a backhoe, dump truck, mowing equipment, and snow removal. The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, management experience, and some experience with municipal government and/or public utility operations. A valid driver’s license is required.  There will be a background check performed. Laborer. The Village of Albany is now accepting applications for a part time laborer in the street/ water/sewer dept. under the direction of the Village Administrator and Mayor.  Applicant must be 18 on or before the hire date, must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and must be able to pass a drug test.  Those interested should pick up an application at the Village Office at 5153 Alton St., Albany, Ohio between the hours of 8 am and 3 pm Monday through Thursday and 8 am and noon Friday.  Deadline for applications is 3 pm. on 6/1/21.
